Industry Vet Launches Hotel CapEx Advisory Firm

GREAT FALLS, VA—Bill Navas, a 30-year hotel industry veteran, has launched Rich-Port Hospitality Development, an advisory firm primarily focused on executing capital projects for clients. Rich-Port also assists institutional investors with pre-acquisition due-diligence and provides hotel companies with outsourced brand representation and technical services.

“I am incredibly excited to establish a new company dedicated to serving the hotel development market” said Navas. “I have dedicated my career to the execution of hospitality projects, and I am looking forward to leveraging my experience and resources to assist clients in their capital deployment.”

Navas brings an understanding of all aspects of hotel construction from the field to the boardroom. In addition to having experience as an in-house owner’s representative while holding senior leadership positions at Starwood, Trump and W Hotels, Navas has a background in third-party project/development management through his tenure at Hospitality 3, a boutique hotel development firm based in New York City. More recently through his role as president of Digney York Associates, a national hotel renovation general contractor, Navas acquired perspective from the contractor side.

“Bill is an outstanding project executive and the consummate professional,” said Mustafa Kirdar, managing director at Reig Capital Group (at time of the project). “He led the execution team for the incredibly complex and challenging project to convert a distressed property on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico into a W Resort and Spa. His hands-on approach and unwavering drive to contain cost, maintain world-class quality and complete on time were invaluable to our successful execution.”
