Hyde Hotel & Residences Comes to Miami

Sbe has opened Hyde Hotel & Residences Midtown Miami in partnership with developer, The Related Group and Haim Yehezkel, CEO of Elysee investments, owner of the 60 hotel units. This is the third collaboration uniting the talents of sbe Founder and CEO Sam Nazarian and Related Founder and Chairman Jorge Pérez, who have more than 20 additional joint projects in the pipeline, including the recently opened SLS LUX Brickell and internationally in CancunArgentina and more.

On the design end, Arquitectonica was tapped for the 32-story building’s architecture, with 410 sold-out luxury condominiums and 60 hotels rooms. Rockwell Group brings their lens to Hyde Midtown’s lobby, hotel suites and amenity spaces.

WoodSpring Suites Continues Growth in Chicago

Choice Hotels International Inc. in collaboration with Holladay Properties LLC, has opened the WoodSpring Suites Chicago Carol Stream. The new WoodSpring Suites hotel is in Chicago’s Carol Stream neighborhood.

The newly constructed, four-story extended-stay hotel is located near several hospitals and universities, including Wheaton College and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. The property also close to downtown Chicago’s corporate offices. Accommodations include 123 guestrooms, each equipped with an in-room kitchen, a full-size refrigerator and free WiFi. The property is 100% smoke free and offers free parking, an expanded lobby and guest laundry room.

Cambria Hotels Intros Indianapolis Hotel in Growing Market

The Cambria Hotels brand debuted its second hotel in the Indianapolis area with the opening of the Cambria Hotel Westfield. The 152-room hotel has an indoor pool, fitness center and 3,800 sq. ft. of meeting space and business services.

The property is a part of the Westfield Grand Park Village, across from Westfield’s Grand Park Sports Campus. The hotel is close to downtown Indianapolis, offering guests access to attractions, including the Indianapolis Convention Center, National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Klipsch Music Center and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

InterContinental Hotels and Resorts Opens in Downtown San Diego

IHG has opened the InterContinental San Diego— a new-build 400-room property overlooking the San Diego bayfront. The InterContinental San Diego hotel is owned by Portman Holdings and is managed by IHG. The hotel, developed through a partnership with Portman, Lankford & Associates and Hensel Phelps, is part of the second phase of BRIC, Portman’s mixed-use development at the nexus of Broadway and Pacific Highway, close to the downtown’s shopping, dining and area attractions.

At 19 stories tall, the hotel has 400 guestrooms with 24 panoramic suites; five on-property restaurants, bars and coffee shops; and 95,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space.

The AC Cleveland Beachwood Opens with F&B, Literary Offerings

AC Hotel Cleveland Beachwood has opened, owned and operated by DelMonte Hotel Group. The European-inspired property, designed by Meyers + Associates Architecture has 145 guestrooms. The AC Lobby features the brand’s signature open-concept spaces along with an innovative beverage and food program at the AC Lounge.

A twist on the traditional hotel bar, the experience includes offerings of local craft beers, specialty wines, signature cocktails and a selection of tapas-style small bites. In addition, the AC Library has a rotating selection of specially selected reads by guest curators.
