HRS, Triumph Hotels Make Personnel Moves

NATIONAL REPORT—Companies are making personnel shifts across the industry. HRS, Triumph Hotels and FitnessOnDemand are all reshaping their teams:

HRS Appoints Jonathan Hamblett to SVP for Hotel Solutions in the Americas

HRS, a global hotel solutions provider in the enterprise segment, has appointed Jonathan Hamblett to SVP for Hotel Solutions in the Americas. Hamblett leads the company’s engagement with the hotel community in the Americas, from chains to smaller groups and independent properties. Hamblett works closely with HRS SVP of enterprise solutions Suzanne Neufang. Together, they are building upon the progress HRS has already made helping corporations and hoteliers streamline the corporate accommodation process with data-driven strategies and tactics. Hamblett joins HRS after serving as VP of supplier relationships for BridgeStreet, helping that company work with extended-stay properties seeking long-term corporate bookings. Hamblett is based in Maryland and reports to HRS Group CEO Tobias Ragge.

Triumph Hotels Makes Four Personnel Moves

Triumph Hotels has made four appointments to its sales and marketing and on-property teams:

  • Martin Aguilar, the new director of sales and marketing for The Evelyn Hotel, The Frederick Hotel and The Iroquois Hotel New York, is responsible for overseeing a sales team while also building rapport and growing relationships with key businesses across a global scale. Most recently, Aguilar was the associate director, sales at The James New York Nomad.
  • Edward Buzzanco, the new corporate director of sales for Triumph Hotels, has been with the brand since 2015 where he was promoted from senior sales manager at Hotel Edison to the area director of sales for Triumph Hotels. Buzzanco is responsible for leading two cluster sales teams and is tasked with developing sales strategies that drive business growth.
  • Glenda Maldonado, the new general manager of The Frederick Hotel, has been working in the hospitality industry for more than a decade. Maldonado will direct all hotel strategies and spearhead day-to-day operations. She previously held leadership roles with AVE Union, Denihan Hospitality Group and Shoreham Hotel.
  • Sava Vasiljevic, the new general manager of The Evelyn Hotel, has been pioneering the hospitality industry for more than 20 years, and has spent 15 of them with Triumph Hotels. Prior to this role, Vasiljevic was an integral member of the teams at the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square, The Sherry-Netherland Hotel and the Dylan Hotel. Sava was most recently the general manager of the newly redesigned Evelyn Hotel.
