Hotels open in two major markets

The newest Waldorf Astoria hotel has opened in the nation’s capital, while 1 Hotels has opened its latest property in San Francisco.

Waldorf Astoria Washington DC has opened in the nation’s capital in the Old Post Office building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The hotel features 263 guestrooms and suites; multiple food & beverage outlets; 38,000 sq. ft. of event space, including a 13,200-sq.-ft. Ballroom; a 10,000- sq.-ft. Waldorf Astoria Spa; a 24-hour concierge and a fitness center.

The property is near the White House, Union Station, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, 14 Smithsonian Institution Museums, CityCenterDC and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

1 Hotels, the luxury lifestyle hotel brand inspired by nature, has opened 1 Hotel San Francisco, the mission-driven luxury hospitality brand’s second California property.

Located on the Embarcadero, across the street from San Francisco Bay, the property was developed in partnership with Pebblebrook Hotel Trust. Nearby attractions include the SoMa district, Chinatown, North Beach, Oracle Park, Chase Center, Coit Tower and the Ferry Building.

Amenities include Terrene, an indoor-outdoor café & lounge; a full-service Bamford wellness spa; The Field House, a 24/7 fitness center; the Audi Electric Vehicle Experience where guests can reserve the house car or test drive the Audi e-tron, the Official Electric Vehicle of 1 Hotel San Francisco; and 5,074 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.
