Hotels make their debut across the U.S.

Recent openings in the U.S. include a Le Méridien property in St. Louis that was converted from a landmark hotel built in 1913; a Holiday Inn Express in South Carolina; a Red Roof Inn in Tallahassee, FL; and a boutique hotel in Southern California.

Le Méridien St. Louis Downtown
Paris-based Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, and Hawkeye Hotels have opened Le Méridien St. Louis Downtown. Built in 1913, the former Hotel Majestic is one of the city’s oldest landmarks; it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Hawkeye Hotels will operate the hotel.

The 96 guestrooms are outfitted with Le Méridien’s signature bed, HD Samsung SmartTVs, illy espresso machines, Mondaine workspaces and WiFi. Amenities include a 24/7 fitness center, Prime 55 Restaurant & Lounge, Le Scoop by Le Méridien gelato shop and 1,210 sq. ft. of meetings & event space.

Nearby attractions include Dome at America’s Center, America’s Center Convention Complex, Busch Stadium, Gateway Arch National Park, Citygarden Sculpture Park, City Museum and Stifel Theater.

TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marinas opens Holiday Inn Express Gaffney
TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marinas has opened the Holiday Inn Express Gaffney located in Gaffney, SC. This 81-room property, owned by Jalaram Hotel Gaffney Inc., is the newest hotel in TPG’s growing third-party managed portfolio.

The Holiday Inn Express Gaffney features 400 sq. ft. of meeting space, Express Start complimentary breakfast, a business center, a fitness center and an outdoor pool. The property is located directly across from the Gaffney Outlet Mall.

Red Roof Inn Tallahassee East
Red Roof Inn Tallahassee East has opened in Florida’s capital city. The pet-friendly hotel offers free Verified WiFi, coffee in the lobby, coin-operated laundry facilities, access to a seasonal pool, an on-property snack center and a business center.

Located near Florida State University and Florida A&M University, the property is also close to the Capital Regional Medical Center, the Tallahassee Automobile Museum, the North Florida Fairgrounds and the New Capital Building.

Cormorant Boutique Hotel
The Cormorant Boutique Hotel has opened in La Jolla, CA. Named after the area’s Cormorant birds and influenced by the beauty of the seaside town, the contemporary hotel features coastal-inspired guestrooms with private balconies, Pacific Ocean views and La Jolla’s newest rooftop bar and lounge, Birdseye.

Acquired by San Diego–based Oceanic Enterprises in 2016, the upscale property has undergone an extensive renovation and rebranding with design led by Greenwood & Black. It has 26 guestrooms, 22 of which have private balconies.

Amenities include Prospect Market, an upscale grab-and-go marketplace, and complimentary gym passes to Life Time La Jolla, located one block from the hotel.
