Hotels are opening across the Americas, including brand debuts in new locations for Wyndham, Choice and Hilton.

First Wyndham Grand to open in Mexico
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has revealed the upcoming opening of Wyndham Grand Cancun All-Inclusive Resort & Villas through a franchise agreement with Grupo Cancun. The resort, which will be the first Wyndham Grand in Mexico will open on Nov. 1.

The hotel will join the exclusive collection of approximately 65 Wyndham Grand hotels and resorts, which has a global presence in key regions such as China, Vietnam, Turkey, Germany, the U.S. This hotel opening continues the company’s growth in Mexico, adding to the portfolio of more than 65 hotels and resorts in cities such as Mexico City, Monterrey, Tulum, Guadalajara, Playa del Carmen and Puebla.

Located in the Hotel Zone of this beach destination, the oceanfront property features Mexican architecture across its 364 guestrooms, suites and villas, and common spaces. Guests can choose from seven restaurants and enjoy cuisine ranging from Italian and Brazilian to Japanese and traditional Mexican food. Additionally, the resort offers five bars, four pools, daily activities for all ages, a spa, gym, retail shops, beach club, tennis courts, a kids club and more.

MainStay Suites debuts in greater Los Angeles area
MainStay Suites, a midscale extended-stay brand franchised by Choice Hotels International, welcomed the largest hotel in its system with the opening of the MainStay Suites Orange County John Wayne Airport.

Making its brand debut in the greater Los Angeles market, the 176-room hotel is one of several MainStay Suites opening in California, with properties planned in Beaumont, Fresno, Rancho Mirage, Oceanside, Riverside and Victorville.

Located in Santa Ana, CA, the property is near Disneyland, Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, and is a short drive to Downtown Los Angeles. Additional area attractions include Fasion Island, Balboa Island, The “Little American Business” LAB, the Lyon Air Museum, Discovery Cube Orange County, Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park, Heritage Museum of Orange County, Downtown Santa Ana Historic District and Orange County Museum of Art. For business travelers, major companies nearby include an Amazon distribution center, Canon, Ricoh, Abbot Lab, Kia, Hyundai, Mazda, FedEx and Broadcom. The hotel is also minutes from John Wayne Airport and the University of California, Irvine.

The MainStay Suites Orange County John Wayne Airport, which includes a courtyard in the center of the property, was purposefully designed for longer-staying guests, featuring apartment-style suites with fully equipped kitchens. Tapestry Collection by Hilton enters Caribbean with opening of ROK Hotel Kingston
Recently opened in Kingston, Jamaica, ROK Hotel Kingston, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is the first location for the collection in the Caribbean.

The 168-room property, owned by PanJam Investment Limited and managed by Highgate, features 47 suites.

Rocket Hotels debuts a SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Apex, NC
Rocket Hotels, a Houston-based hotel developer and operator, has opened the SpringHill Suites Raleigh Apex in Apex, NC.

The 94-suite hotel is located 19 miles from Raleigh-Durham International Airport and near the cities of Raleigh and Cary. The six-story hotel offers guests convenient access to Salem Street in downtown Apex, offering numerous shopping and dining options, historic Apex Union Depot and Research Triangle Park.
