Swire Hotels has revealed sustainability-driven Christmas decorations for the festive season in its hotels worldwide—from trees created with recycled plastic bottles, to ornaments crafted from repurposed bedding and towels. The group is working towards a larger sustainability drive, which aims to reduce the amount of waste and inspire its communities to reduce their environmental footprint.
Hong Kong’s The Upper House collaborated with British industrial designer Michael Young to create the property’s Christmas tree. The one-of-a-kind piece is open to bids until Dec. 31, with all proceeds benefitting the Hong Kong charity Child Development Centre.
