Hotel Emporium CEO Andy De Silva passes away

Andy De Silva, cofounder/CEO of hotel amenities company Hotel Emporium, died unexpectedly on June 6.

The company released the following statement on his passing:

“A transformative figure in the hospitality industry, Andy led Hotel Emporium from a California-based company to an internationally recognized brand, servicing over 20,000 properties across 40+ countries. Under his leadership, the company expanded operations with regional offices and manufacturing facilities across the U.S., Mexico, China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India.

Andy was a pioneer in sustainable hospitality. He spearheaded the launch of award-winning eco-innovations, such as the LiquiFill refill system and Eco Pod zero-plastic amenities. Hotel Emporium received multiple accolades under his tenure, including the 2025 Best Hotel Supplies Innovation Award and the 2024 recognition as “World’s Leading Sustainability Leader of Tomorrow.”

The company’s success was driven by Andy’s vision of combining design, environmental responsibility and operational excellence. His passion shaped a company culture rooted in integrity, creativity and impact.

Though his loss is immeasurable, the Hotel Emporium team is united in continuing his legacy. Plans are underway to expand further into untapped markets and to carry forward the dreams and strategic vision he so passionately championed.
