Hospitality Cares to Host Industry Outlook Webinar

NEW YORK—Hospitality Cares, a not-for-profit organization founded by Michael Schneider and the late Helen Marcus of Zenith Rugs, will present a virtual panel discussion titled, “It’s Alive, Restarting the Hospitality Industry Post COVID” on Wed., Dec. 9 at 2:00 PM EDT via Zoom video conferencing. Proceeds will benefit the organization, which benefits professionals in the hospitality industry who are experiencing financial fall-out as a result of the global pandemic.

Sponsored by Kimball Hospitality & LaMarca Construction, the webinar will address the current obstacles and potential solutions for the hospitality industry at large. Moderated by Alan Benjamin, ISHC, president of Benjamin West, speakers will include Stacey Greene, VP project management of Pyramid Hotel Group; Scott Hammons, VP design & construction of DiamondRock Hospitality; Dave Johnstone, CIO-hospitality of McWhinney; and Emily Miller, VP asset management of CHMWarnick.

Originally launched in Sept. of 2009, Hospitality Cares was founded to help hospitality professionals recover from the financial crisis of 2008. “Hospitality Cares extends support to hospitality professionals who have experienced financial challenges through job loss, as well as housing and medical hardships. Through job placement support and monies donated to Hospitality Cares, qualified professionals receive assistance in re-building their businesses and careers within the industry,” said Schneider.
