Hilton’s Chris Nassetta to Speak at Hunter Conference

ATLANTA—Hilton President/CEO Chris Nassetta will join Mit Shah, CEO of Noble Investment Group, for the sixth annual Bharat Shah Leadership Speaker Series held at the Hunter Hotel Investment Conference.

Nassetta and Shah will take the main stage on March 22 at 12:45 pm for the conversation.

“The Hunter team is thrilled to announce that Chris Nassetta of Hilton will join us for this ever-popular event at the conference. The Bharat Shah Leadership Speaker Series continues to provide captivated audiences a uniquely intimate conversation with our industry leaders that is both authentic and deeply moving,” said Lee Hunter, conference chair/COO, Hunter Hotel Advisors.

As a college student, Nassetta spent his summers working in hotels—cleaning rooms, carrying bags and plunging toilets. Nearly 35 years later, he is still working in the same industry. Since taking the helm at Hilton—the second-largest lodging company in the world, with more than 5,500 hotels in 109 countries—more than a decade ago, Nassetta has led Hilton through change and growth in the travel and tourism industry, from the global recession to the rise of the sharing economy.

The Bharat Shah Leadership Speaker Series was established at Georgia State’s Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality, in the Robinson College of Business, by Dr. Bharat Shah, leader and philanthropist and father of Mit Shah.

An immigrant to the United States, Shah’s vision for this series was to share the personal stories of the lodging and hospitality icons whose diverse journeys of struggle, failure, perseverance, commitment and faith have emboldened their pursuit of the American Dream. The series has served as an inspiration to all members of the hospitality industry but particularly to hospitality students, the future leaders of the industry.
