Hilton Signs Tapestry Collection’s First Hotels Outside the U.S.

MCLEAN, VA—Hilton signed two Tapestry Collection by Hilton agreements in Lima, Peru: Hotel Bel’Arte Lima and Hotel Museo de Osma, representing the first international properties for Hilton’s 14th brand. These new deals form part of Hilton’s development pipeline of eight hotels in Peru, with plans to add more than 1,000 rooms in key markets throughout the country.

“As Hilton continues expanding in Latin America, our team has strategically focused on pursuing opportunities in Peru, one of the region’s fastest growing economies in the past decade,” said Juan Corvinos, VP, development, Latin America and the Caribbean, Hilton. “With six hotels and more than 850 existing guestrooms in our Peru portfolio, we look forward to further solidifying our presence with milestone projects, including brand debuts in Lima and throughout the country in destinations such as Arequipa and Tarapoto.”

Slated to open in 2021, the 117-room Hotel Bel’Arte Lima, Tapestry Collection by Hilton will be situated in the financial district of San Isidro in Peru’s capital. Property highlights include an art gallery.

Located in the cultural district of Barranco in Lima, the 86-room Hotel Museo de Osma, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is also expected to open in 2021. The distinctive hotel will form part of the De Osma mixed-use development, featuring a theater, museum, and shopping center.

“As we celebrate one year since the first hotel joined Tapestry Collection by Hilton, we are thrilled to announce our first two properties outside the United States in the important region of Latin America,” said Jenna Hackett, global head, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. “These hotels truly demonstrate the unique and independent spirit of our collection and we’re excited to welcome Hotel Bel’Arte Lima and Hotel Museo de Osma to our portfolio in the coming years.”

In addition to the international unveiling of Tapestry Collection by Hilton, the brand’s development plans in Peru also call for the in-market debut of Hampton by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton. Two Hilton Garden Inn properties also form part of the plans.

Projects and planned opening dates include:

  • Hampton Inn by Hilton Lima San Isidro: 148 rooms, opening 2019
  • Hampton Inn by Hilton Arequipa: 104 rooms, opening 2020
  • Hampton Inn by Hilton Tarapoto: 86 rooms, opening 2021
