Charlestowne Hotels Welcomes The Foundry Hotel

Charlestowne  Hotels and Curio Collection by Hilton have opened The Foundry Hotel as the newest high-end, boutique property in Asheville, NC.

As The Foundry Hotel’s management company, Charlestowne Hotels leads the property’s ongoing operations, marketing and revenue management. They also oversee the hotel’s food and beverage program in collaboration with chef John Fleer.

The hotel combines two new buildings with three structures from Asheville’s original foundry, which forged steel for prominent regional sites, such as The Biltmore Estate. Architectural components pay homage to the property’s roots, such as original brick and hardwood floors, the former pulley elevator on display, exposed beams, steel-star fastenings and industrial-style windows.

The property has 87 guestrooms, including 12 suites ranging in size from 315 to 1,200 sq. ft. Guests also have access to on-site amenities including an elevated cocktail bar at Workshop Lounge, regionally inspired dining at Benne on Eagle and a retail marketplace lined with locally sourced items and hiking gear. Groups can reserve 4,000 sq. ft. of flexible indoor and outdoor event space for weddings, meetings or corporate retreats, including a main courtyard curated by the North Carolina Arboretum.

Prism to Covert Three Hotels

Dallas-based Prism Hotels and Resorts and Hilton have revealed that the three NYLO boutique hotels under Prism management since July will join Tapestry Collection by Hilton this month.

The NYLO hotels joining Tapestry Collection by Hilton include:

The renovation scope will involve light exterior upgrades with more extensive upgrades to the interior public spaces, guestrooms and guest baths. In addition, significant technology enhancements will be implemented to meet the needs of today’s savvy traveler, including Hilton’s Digital Key system. The hotels expect to complete most of the work by the end of 2019. Prism will continue to work closely with JF Capital Advisors, which serves as strategic adviser to the owner, to lead the hotels through the conversion.
