PHOENIX, AZ—Best Western Hotels & Resorts (BWHR) has opened SureStay Studio by Best Western Charlotte Executive Park, the first property to open as part of the company’s newest brand concept, SureStay Studio by Best Western. The hotel recently opened its doors to guests after completing a $1.8 million renovation. The hotel offers 116 suites along with the amenities today’s travelers expect from an extended-stay experience.

“The debut of the first SureStay Studio marks a significant milestone for SureStay Hotel Group as our industry continues to navigate these unprecedented times,” Brad LeBlanc, SVP/CDO, BWHR, told Hotel Business. “We’re proud of all that we’ve accomplished since SureStay Hotel Group launched in 2016, and we’ve now eclipsed 320 properties globally. With an additional 28 properties in the SureStay Studio pipeline, we look forward to providing travelers with a premium-economy, extended-stay experience in Charlotte, and future locations across North America and beyond.”

SureStay Studio by Best Western Charlotte Executive Park has an outdoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, basketball court, on-site guest laundry, complimentary hot breakfast and free WiFi throughout the hotel. Each extended-stay guest suite is fully equipped with all the essential home amenities, including full kitchens with a full-size fridge and stove. Business travelers can access the dedicated on-site business center, which provides complimentary full-service amenities to keep guests connected.

“We are very excited to bring a much-needed extended-stay hotel to Charlotte,” said Jim Oddo, ownership representative of SureStay Studio by Best Western Charlotte Executive Park and president, HMG Hospitality. “I am particularly proud to be part of SureStay Hotel Group, and to debut the first SureStay Studio property in the world. Our hotel brings a new lodging choice that offers modern convenience and is designed with home in mind. We look forward to welcoming guests with our exemplary service.”

SureStay Studio launched in October 2019 and already has a global pipeline of 28 hotels, offering both a prototype for new construction and opportunities for conversion. Every SureStay Studio hotel is onboarded with access to BWHR’s website, global partnerships and sales team, and state-of-the-art revenue management system. Hotels also have access to a revenue manager to maximize revenue and reduce operating costs. According to the company, SureStay Studio will benefit from BWHR’s reputation for providing superior guest service and will have access to the  Best Western Rewards program, which contributes nearly 50% of gross room revenue to hotels.

Launched in October 2016, SureStay Hotel Group has more than 320 properties globally and has an average TripAdvisor rating of close to 4. According to the company, the brand has also garnered significant interest among developers in the premium-economy market because of its competitive fee structure and access to BWHR’s powerhouse brand.
