Guerrero promoted at HVS Americas; more moves

HVS and Sandcastle Resorts and Hotels have promoted executives from within, while Twenty Four Seven Hotels has added a new EVP, operations.

HVS Americas promoted Eric Guerrero
Global hospitality consulting firm HVS has promoted Eric Guerrero to the position of partner within the Americas region.

Eric leads the HVS Americas Brokerage & Advisory Division, which provides a wide array of asset opportunities and financing solutions. The team has participated in hundreds of hotel transactions with an aggregate value of more than $6 billion across the U.S.

Prior to founding the HVS Americas Brokerage & Advisory Division, he held positions at CBRE Hotels and Marcus & Millichap, where he executed hotel transactions in the South-Central U.S. He is a licensed real estate broker in Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, New Mexico and Florida.

Amanda Hawkins-Vogel joins Twenty Four Seven Hotels
Amanda Hawkins-Vogel, a 30-year hospitality veteran, has joined Twenty Four Seven Hotels, a Southern California-based hospitality management company with headquarters in Newport Beach, as the new EVP, operations.

In her new role, Hawkins-Vogel leads all operations of Twenty Four Seven Hotels’ portfolio. She will also lead new hotel openings.

Most recently, she was SVP, operations, Crescent Hotels & Resorts and, prior to that, VP, operations, Sage Hospitality Group. She also has held various corporate and hotel leadership roles internationally across multiple top chain and luxury brands.

Sandcastle names Gary Koester as new EVP
Sandcastle Resorts and Hotels, the property management company behind Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Miramar Beach, FL, has appointed Gary Koester as the new EVP.

Koester has been a part of the Sandcastle Resort and Hotels team since 2014, having assisted with property expansions at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, the management company’s largest and most successful property to date. With more than two decades of hospitality experience under his belt, his initial focus will include leading a $30-million renovation beginning this October at the Florida resort. The transformation will begin with guestroom remodels, followed by renovations of the resort’s public spaces, from the on-site restaurants to additional upgrades.
