Five Hotels Debut on the East Coast

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotels are bringing their brands to cities on the East Coast. New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Delaware are all seeing some activity:

Conrad Opens Second in NYC
Conrad Hotels & Resorts has opened the 54-floor, 562-suite Conrad New York Midtown, the brand’s second New York City property and the former site of The London NYC. Following a complete hotel renovation, the property has rooms ranging from 500-sq.-ft. one-bedroom suites to a 3,000-sq.-ft., two-story penthouse. In addition, the hotel has a men’s grooming lounge, on-site food and beverage options, an on-site art collection and is proximate to Carnegie Hall and Broadway.

Moxy Moves into Boston’s Theater District
Located in Boston’s Theater District, Moxy Boston Downtown is now open with 340 guestrooms. Moxy Boston Downtown is close to the Back Bay and Chinatown. The hotel has a food truck-inspired photo booth, a rooftop lounge, 2,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, food and beverage outlets and a gym. Moxy Boston Downtown is managed by Highgate.

Residence Inn Expands in Rhode Island Capital
The 176-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Providence, RI, is now open. The Residence Inn Providence Downtown will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Procaccianti Companies and managed by TPG Hotels and Resorts of Cranston, RI. The hotel is close to T.F. Green International Airport, is adjacent to the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin Donuts Center and offers guests access to Waterplace Park, the RISD Museum and Brown University. The hotel is pet-friendly and has a business library, fitness center and 600 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Wilmington Downtown Opens
Homewood Suites by Hilton Wilmington Downtown is now open in Wilmington, DE. With 120 new suites, the hotel provides an upscale extended-stay offering at the Riverfront to serve the revitalized and growing destination within the market and is the seventh hotel in the Delaware market managed by PM Hotel Group. The property has an outdoor kitchen and grill area, patio games, bike rentals, a 24-hour fitness center, a business center and 478 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. The hotel is near Wilmington Riverwalk, Chase Center and is convenient to dining and entertainment options throughout the city.

Mirabeau Inn & Spa Opens in Rhinebeck, NY
After 12 years of planning and 18 months of construction, the 50-room Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck is open in New York’s Hudson Valley. The property has a 12,000-sq.-ft. spa and a restaurant helmed by Chef Charlie Palmer. The 50-room hotel also has 3,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space and is set on 2.8 secluded, private acres, in the center of the village’s historic downtown.
