Fil Doux Debuts Fast Ship Program

Fil Doux Textiles, a Brooklyn, NY-based textile company producing mill-direct, luxurious upholstery and Otratex—a degradable vinyl alternative—has launched a new shipping program aptly named Fast Ship. Offering in-stock, ready to ship upholstery products, Fast Ship is designed to help speed along the specification process—after receiving the purchase order and payment, the chosen materials can be shipped within 72 hours to anywhere in North America.

Launching in two phases, Fil Doux Textiles’ Fast Ship program will start with two-million sq. ft. of in-stock leathers in more than 30 colors and patterns. Phase one will also include twelve collections from the brand’s exclusive Otratex series, including Fil Doux Textiles’ best selling patterns—Sedona, Dima and Charisma—and top specified colors—Coffee, Ivory, Muse and Leisure. In addition, three brand new pattern combinations will be launching with the program—Charisma Coffee, Sedona Coffee and Sedona Ivory.

“We are very excited to offer such an amazing new program to our clients,” says Robert Pullen, VP of hospitality & cruise at Fil Doux Textiles. “Giving our customers the ability to see our available stock in real time is a game-changer for the hospitality, cruise and contract industries.”

As Fast Ship expands in 2021, Fil Doux Textiles plans to offer more upholstery fabrics throughout the program. However, only materials that have already been produced will be available for purchase, further highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainable practices. As such, the textiles launching in phase two will include overrun items, as well as a wide array of custom products that are ready to ship.

“Inspired by client requests, Fast Ship has been in the works for well over a year,” said Leo Novik, CEO/founder of Fil Doux Textiles. “We’re extremely proud to launch this program in tandem with the new Fil Doux Textiles’ website and we look forward to pushing our industry-dominant lead times even further.”

Highlighting a progressive approach to textile design, Fil Doux Textiles’ Otratex, upholstery fabrics and sheer items are manufactured in the company’s fully-vertical, tariff-free mills located in Chile and Brazil, allowing for customization and industry-dominant lead times. All Fil Doux Textiles’ products are produced using sustainable practices—80% of the company’s energy comes from solar and wind power, dye waters for fabrics are reused and leftover fabrics are repurposed for packaging. Also, in the spirit of environmental sustainability, the brand has partnered with 501(c) One Tree Planted with a pledge to donate 1,000 trees to Brazilian Rainforests for every 1,000 yards of Otratex purchased.
