INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Hospitality companies are bolstering their leadership teams. Here’s a look at recent personnel shifts at Kempinski, Hospitality Management Corporation, Hostmark Hospitality Group, and others.

Kempinski Names CFO

Kempinski Hotels has appointed Michael Pracht as CFO and as member of the management board. In this role, Pracht will oversee the company’s finance and technical services on corporate, regional and hotel level. He will be replacing Colin Lubbe, who decided to step back from his mandate.

Pracht will be the driving force behind securing the company’s return on investment and identifying innovative solutions which will enhance performance in his areas of responsibility to ensure efficient decision-making processes across all Kempinski operations. Within the area of technical services, he will oversee pre-opening and engineering, ensuring that services provided to properties throughout the product lifecycle generate a sustained return and protect these assets over the long term.

HMC Taps Joe Luck as SVP, Development

Leo Spriggs, president/CEO of Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC), has added Joe Luck to the team. Luck will be leveraging HMC’s diverse platform and experience to service additional third-party hotel management opportunities, evaluate new partnerships, and coordinate with existing properties and clients to enhance existing relationships.

Luck brings extensive full-service and select-service brand expertise and leadership to the new role. He previously held the position of VP of franchise development West for Red Roof LLC.  Prior to Red Roof, he served for 14 years as VP of franchise development for the Wyndham Hotel Group.

Hostmark Names VP of Revenue Management

Hostmark Hospitality Group revealed that Patti A. Sedlacek has been named VP of revenue management. In her new role, Sedlacek will work closely with the company’s hotel general managers and sales teams to improve business planning and pricing.

Previously, Sedlacek held numerous increasingly important positions with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, culminating in a regional director of revenue management title. In that role, she oversaw a team of 10 revenue management specialists servicing 10 hotels in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas and Arizona.

L.E.K. Consulting Adds Former Hilton Executive to Hospitality Practice

L.E.K. Consulting has named John Vanderslice, former global head of Luxury and Lifestyle at Hilton, senior advisor for the firm’s hospitality practice. Vanderslice has expertise in helping accelerate the growth of leading lifestyle and hospitality brands by identifying key market trends, launching new brands, and creating supporting products, initiatives, and programs.

Prior to Hilton, VAnderslice was the CEO of Miraval Holding LLC, and president and CEO of Club Med Americas. He has also held numerous positions at Triarc Restaurant Group and Kraft General Foods.

Danny Donovan Joins Mumford as Sales Analyst

Mumford Company has hired Daniel Q. Donovan as a sales analyst in the firm’s office in Newport News, VA. Upon receiving his real estate license, he will be assisting in the development of property marketing, valuation analysis, market research, and other corporate activities.
