Domio Appoints Nicole Mozeliak to COO
Domio has appointed Nicole Mozeliak as chief operating officer. Mozeliak brings more than 25 years of operating experience to the Domio team and joins from WeWork, where she was head of operations (SVP) for the United States, Canada and Israel. Mozeliak will develop and oversee global business operations for Domio and ensure its organizational infrastructure grows efficiently, which includes scaling operations, training and developing the company’s talent base, and driving business goals, while promoting the brand’s culture and mission.
Mark McDermott Joins J Street Hospitality as CIO
Mark McDermott has joined J Street Hospitality as chief investment officer. In his newly created role, McDermott will oversee investments and capital strategy, including sourcing and negotiating new investment opportunities for the company. He will report to President/CEO Sajan Hansji. McDermott brings nearly 25 years of experience in hospitality and real estate. He is a licensed real estate broker and has held roles with CBRE Hotels, Colliers International Hotels/PKF Capital, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and Metromedia Restaurant Group. He has focused on providing hospitality brokerage and advisory services to hotel/resort owners, investors, lenders and developers.
Jodi Garman Joins JLL Hotels & Hospitality as SVP
Jodi Garman has joined JLL Hotels & Hospitality’s hotel property tax practice. Based in Denver and reporting to Managing Director Louis Breeding, Garman will provide real estate tax consulting services, including advising buyers and sellers on hotel property taxes and purchase price allocations and negotiating tax appeals. Holding nearly 20 years of experience across valuations and property tax consulting, Garman joins JLL from Duff & Phelps LLC, where she most recently served as director of property tax services.
Benchmark Names Linda Maurer Global Account Manager-Southwest
Benchmark has named Linda Maurer global account manager-Southwest, a newly created position designed to develop and grow Benchmark’s group sales success in the regional southwest. Maurer has deployed her skills within both the association and the corporate meetings markets. Previous to joining La Cantera Resort & Spa and Benchmark, Maurer was director of national accounts northeast for Terranea Resort of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Prior to this she held the position of director of sales for The Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX.
Benchmark Names Sheri Mulanax Regional Director of Finance Operations
Benchmark has named Sheri Mulanax regional director of finance operations. Mulanax was previously director of finance for Hotel Contessa, Benchmark’s property in San Antonio. She initially served as financial controller for the luxury property. Mulanax’s first position with Benchmark was as assistant controller for Del Lago Resort of Montgomery, TX, which the company operated at the time. Mulanax will operate out of Benchmark’s San Antonio regional office.
