Execs on the Move: McKibbon, Outrigger, Interstate

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—McKibbon Hospitality, Outrigger Hospitality Group and Interstate Hotels & Resorts are changing up their leadership teams. Here’s a look at the recent industry moves:

McKibbon Hospitality Names Joe Taggart as CFO
McKibbon Hospitality has appointed Joe Taggart as its new CFO. Taggart joins the family-owned/operated hospitality company and will oversee all McKibbon entities, including real estate, hotel development, management, renovations and the McKibbon Family Investment Fund, managing the accounting, cash management, insurance, property and income tax, partnership-owned finance and audits. Taggart brings more than 20 years of leadership experience and financial expertise to McKibbon, much of it in the realm of commercial real estate. Prior to joining McKibbon, he spent 12 years at Valley National Bank and its predecessor, USAmeriBank, in Tampa, FL. While there, he served as SVP, Florida CRE manager and stakeholder, overseeing a team of relationship officers with a combined commercial real estate portfolio of more than $2.1 billion.

Outrigger Hospitality Group Names Henry Schwartz VP/CIO
Outrigger Hospitality Group has named Henry Schwartz VP/chief information officer. Schwartz provides vision and leadership in developing and implementing global information technology (IT) strategies, initiatives, capabilities, policies, procedures and organization to support Outrigger’s goals and direction. Schwartz comes to Outrigger from KSL Resorts where he assisted and helped plan numerous IT projects in conjunction with Outrigger’s IT team over the past two years. With more than 20 years at KSL Resorts, Schwartz was most recently VP of IT and prior, consulted with KSL on seven acquisitions. He also co-founded a private certified public accounting firm.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts Appoints Andrew J. Arthurs as CIO
Interstate Hotels & Resorts has appointed Andrew J. Arthurs as chief information officer. Arthurs is responsible for the design and delivery of innovative technical and business solutions to meet the diverse needs of the company and its worldwide hotel portfolio. Bringing with him more than 15 years in technology leadership in the hospitality industry, Arthurs was most recently chief information officer at Two Roads Hospitality and Lowe, where he oversaw the integration of Destination Hotels and Commune Hotels and Resorts to create the world’s largest, independent lifestyle hotel management company, with approximately 100 hotels and resorts under management.
