DelMonte Hotel Group, a hotel management and development company headquartered in Rochester, NY, has made key organizational changes and appointed new members to its executive team to support the continued growth and expansion of the company: John DelMonte as chairman of the board; Alexander DelMonte as CEO/president; Kate Kuttruff as COO; Lisa Thompson as VP, sales, marketing and revenue management; and Guy Crawford as chief investment officer.
John DelMonte (pictured above, left) is moving exclusively into the role of chairman of the board and passing on the role of CEO. As chairman, he will continue to be involved in the business strategy and advise and guide the leadership team. His depth and breadth of knowledge of the business—from development, operations, sales and finance to creating high-performing teams and solving problems—will continue to benefit and inspire long-range goals, according to the company.
As Alexander DelMonte (pictured above, right) accepts the role of CEO, he looks forward to the continued recovery of the hotel industry, as well as the success and growth in the company and associates’ futures. Over the past decade in his role as president, his goal has been to build a first-class leadership team to allow DelMonte Hotel Group to grow its hotel portfolio and improve its management company, the firm reports. The transition to the CEO role will enable him to work closely with the leadership team to position the company for scalability that supports future growth plans.
Kuttruff has made countless contributions to the company throughout her 32-year career at DelMonte Hotel Group. Newly appointed as COO, she oversees accounting, information systems, human resources, compensation and benefits, legal compliance, hotel operations, facilities and the sales, revenue & marketing division. In 2018, she was elevated to the role of SVP, operations.
Since joining DelMonte Hotel Group in 2002, Thompson’s role has grown from cluster director of sales, overseeing three hotels, to corporate director of sales, marketing and revenue management. She has experience working with established hotels, conversions of properties and opening new hotels. In her new role as VP, she is responsible for topline revenue across the region for all brands, which includes responsibility and oversight of all aspects of sales, marketing and revenue management. In addition, she will also partner with DelMonte Hotel Group leaders on key business initiatives and priorities.
As chief investment officer, Crawford will play an instrumental role in the planned expansion of the DelMonte Hotel Group portfolio of hotels. He is responsible for sourcing acquisition opportunities, raising capital, underwriting and financing for the company. Prior to joining the DelMonte Hotel Group team, he was the head of the hospitality platform at Lightstone Group, overseeing acquisitions, disposition and asset management of a portfolio that included 35 hotels. Over his 15-year career in the hospitality industry, he has closed more than $4 billion of acquisitions, developments and financings.
“I’m pleased to acknowledge this transformational group of leaders as well as all of our esteemed associates that make our company successful,” said Alexander DelMonte. “It is because of each and everyone’s hard work, dedication and invaluable contributions that we are able to deliver world-class customer service and prosper as a business and workplace.”
