Davidson Hotels & Resorts Names Thom Geshay President

Davidson Hotels & Resorts has promoted Thom Geshay from chief operating officer to president. Geshay continues a 30-plus-year career with one of the largest privately held management companies in the lodging industry and is only the fourth president in the company’s 45-year legacy. He succeeds John Belden, who will retain the role of chairman/CEO after serving as the company’s president and CEO for nearly 14 years. As president, Geshay’s focus is furthering strategic growth and performance excellence while Belden, as chairman/CEO, concentrates on vision casting, organizational development and ensuring the company’s culture and values continue to strengthen as business expands.

RAR Hospitality Appoints Dari DeSousa as Director of Human Resources

RAR Hospitality, a San Diego­-based hotel management company, has appointed Dari DeSousa as the director of human resources to its executive team. Prior to RAR, she worked for Marriott International, Starwood Hotels and Interstate Hotels in San Diego, where she has created and implemented leadership development and employee engagement programs to improve the work environment for multiple hotels across Southern California. She has experience in labor relations and California compliance, and she is a specialist in large­-scope project work.

M&R Hotel Management Names Bryan Davern Regional Director, Revenue Management 

M&R Hotel Management, operator of 25 hotels in New York, Texas, Illinois, Missouri and Indiana, has appointed Bryan Davern, a 24-year hospitality industry veteran, as regional director, revenue management, for its Midwest portfolio. Davern, who has served in revenue management positions for hotels franchised by Hilton, Marriott International and Radisson, among others, directs day-to-day revenue management strategy for M&R’s nine managed hotels in Indiana, Missouri and Illinois. Before joining M&R, Davern was regional director of revenue for Packard Hospitality Management LLC.
