Chad Dorsey Design, known for crafting richly detailed and bespoke interiors with an architectural eye, will open a new design studio in the upscale Dallas Design District on October 10, 2019 during Texas Design Week (TXDW), a series of Design + Art Talks, pop-up shops, salon talks and cocktail events for the design community.
Dorsey’s studio joins the ranks of some of the most prominent designers, brands and showrooms within the District’s vibrant live-work-play community comprising upscale galleries, showrooms, restaurants and luxury living. A 2,500-sq.-ft. footprint and open space floorplan will foster collaboration between Dorsey and his clients and allow the firm to showcase luxury goods and design services.
Everything in the studio is intended to help clients connect with what is possible. Clients and visitors to the studio will be able to touch and see the quality and craftsmanship in design prototypes and review selections of customizable furniture, textiles, custom window treatment options and artisan-crafted accessories available through Chad Dorsey Design.
“Most professionals and homeowners are busy people that like visual inspiration,” said Dorsey. “When personalizing every aspect of their lifestyle—from their cars down to the minute details of a room—our clients want to see and experience the luxury firsthand. “Our new studio format makes this happen.”
The studio will offer a mantel collection designed by Dorsey, luxury linens, custom upholstery and a selection of bespoke bar and tableware from the fall opening through 2020. Casegoods, artisan lighting, and a hand-knotted rug collection designed by Dorsey are slated for release in 2021.
“Our goal is to take what we do best, and further strengthen our offerings to become the go-to custom resource Dallas and beyond,” he said. “We’ve been active in the Design District for years, but now that we have a public interface, I really feel this is an opportunity to be more effective for our clients.
The studio’s interiors will exude a coherent sense of calm reflecting the best of modern design, past and present and will include several hand-crafted accessories and custom elements. In addition to in-store appointments, Chad Dorsey Design will continue to offer in-home consultations upon request.
