Recently opened hotels in the U.S. and Canada include a Cambria Hotel near Harvard University, a historic bank building-turned-boutique hotel in Roanoke, VA, a Red Roof Inn in South Carolina and a W hotel in Toronto.
Cambria Hotel Boston Somerville
Located a half mile from Harvard University and historic Union Square on the Somerville-Cambridge line in Massachusetts, the 163-room Cambria Hotel Boston Somerville has opened.
Boston-based The Noannet Group teamed with Cambria Hotels to develop the property, and Saunders Hotel Group will manage all hotel operations. CambridgeSeven is behind the project’s architecture and Bill Rooney Studio designed the hotel interiors.
The pet-friendly hotel offers complimentary WiFi; 1,175 sq. ft. of multi-function space on the first floor; a 2,000-sq.-ft. fitness room; game room featuring shuffleboard, foosball and a variety of retro games; a small market; and a 4,000-sq.-ft. restaurant.
The Liberty Trust
On Dec. 26, 1910, The Liberty Trust Bank Building in downtown Roanoke, VA, opened its doors to the public. More than 110 years later, the historic seven-story building is now open as The Liberty Trust, a luxury boutique hotel.
Operated by Savara Hospitality, the property has just completed a full historic restoration, where original features of the building including the marble lobby and the copper doors found throughout the building and guestrooms have been preserved.
The hotel’s 54 guestrooms vary in size from petite to classic to deluxe, featuring either a single king bed, a single queen bed or two queen beds. In-room amenities include flat-screen TVs with premium high-definition channels and streaming capabilities, refrigerators, Nespresso coffee makers, Bluetooth speakers, Molton Brown toiletries, complimentary slippers and complimentary high-speed internet access.
Other amenities include access to a complimentary fitness app and yoga mats and resistance bands for an in-room workout; and the more-than 400-sq.-ft. Mezzanine Board Room at The Liberty Trust for meetings and events.
Red Roof Inn Florence – Civic Center
The Red Roof Inn Florence – Civic Center has opened in Florence, SC.
The 59-room hotel offers free in-room Verified WiFi, a business center, a snack center and free coffee in the lobby. All rooms come equipped with flat-screen TV, microwave and mini fridge.
The property is near Florence Center, Florence Regional Airport, the Florence Museum and Magnolia Mall.
W Toronto
The 11-story W Toronto has opened in the city’s Yorkville neighborhood.
The property features 254 guestrooms, including 30 suites; Canada’s first W Sound Suite, the brand’s signature recording studio experience; a collection of original artwork; Public School coffee house, kitchen and bar; the Living Room, featuring “Toronto Tapas” and drinks; and the Skylight rooftop bar and restaurant.
The hotel also has five event spaces encompassing more than 4,600 sq. ft. and the 3,300-sq.-ft. FIT gym.
