Aimbridge Promotes Mendy, Perelmuter

PLANO, TX—Aimbridge Hospitality has promoted both Simon Mendy and Ben Perelmuter to the role of EVP of operations, where they will report directly to global president Mike Deitemeyer. The two are vertical experts in two of Aimbridge Hospitality’s largest and fastest-growing segments, with Mendy the authority on the extended-stay sector and Perelmuter deeply knowledgeable in the select-service product category, according to the management company.

Mendy joined Aimbridge Hospitality in 2018 as SVP of operations, bringing with him 20 years of hospitality management experience. Prior to Aimbridge, he was EVP of operations of Extended Stay America. During that time, he also served as SVP; VP of training, standards, guest relations; and in regional positions in operations and revenue management. Additionally, Mendy was an adjunct professor at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Perelmuter’s Aimbridge career began as GM of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Westshore in 2007. He then progressed to a corporate regional director of operations, VP of operations, and, ultimately, as SVP of operations leading select-service hotels. Prior to Aimbridge, his hotel operations background included various F&B management positions at Grand Hyatt New York, Hyatt Regency New Orleans and Marriott Suites Clearwater Beach in Florida. He also actively serves on the Aloft and Hyatt Select-Service Brand Franchise Advisory Boards.

“As our portfolio continues to expand, both of these leaders have demonstrated acumen in fulfilling our mission to leverage our scale and add value for owners and opportunities for our associates,” said Deitemeyer. “I am very much looking forward to seeing them succeed in their new roles.”
