WoodSpring Suites Grows Footprint in Greater DC Area
In collaboration with Sandpiper Hospitality LLC, Choice Hotels opened the 122-room WoodSpring Suites Washington, DC East Arena Drive. The newly constructed extended-stay hotel represents Sandpiper’s third WoodSpring Suites property to open in the growing Washington, DC region, joining WoodSpring Suites Manassas and WoodSpring Suites Washington DC Andrews AFB.
Cambria Hotels Debuts in College Park, MD
Cambria Hotels has opened its doors in the hometown of the University of Maryland with the grand opening of the Cambria Hotel College Park. The 150-room new-construction hotel is the second Cambria-branded hotel to open in the state, joining the Cambria Hotel Rockville near Choice Hotels’ headquarters. Southern Management Corporation, owner and manager of the new hotel, celebrated the grand opening of the Cambria Hotel College Park by presenting a $57,000 check to Elizabeth Seton High School, a local, private, all-girls high school.
Former Historic Chattanooga School Debuts as Boutique Hotel
The District 3 Hotel in Chattanooga, TN, has officially joined the Ascend Hotel Collection portfolio. Built on the grounds of the former Third District School, the hotel pays homage to its past with an outdoor space resembling a playground. The community of Chattanooga is further reflected throughout the hotel via custom mural window shades that display three different views of the downtown cityscape.
The Comfort Brand Opens Hotel in Brunswick, OH
The Comfort brand has opened a new-construction, 84-room hotel in Brunswick, OH. The hotel is the latest to receive signage with the new Comfort logo, signaling the brand’s refreshed look and feel with modernized guestrooms and common areas.
