Recent openings in the U.S. include an AC Hotel in South Florida, a Holiday Inn & Suites outside of Atlanta and a ROOST Apartment Hotel location in Cleveland.

AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach
AC Hotels by Marriott, in collaboration with Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group, has opened AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach in Florida. The hotel is located steps away from the Atlantic Ocean and within minutes of Fort Lauderdale International Airport, Broward County Convention Center, Port Everglades Cruise Terminals and Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Boulevard dining and entertainment district.

The property (pictured above) has 171 guestrooms and offers amenities such as the brand’s signature AC Kitchen and AC Lounge, as well as an elevated pool deck with ocean and beach views; a 24-hour fitness center with an outdoor balcony space; complimentary filtered water hydration stations with refillable carafes on each floor and 945 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space.

Holiday Inn & Suites Atlanta Perimeter-Dunwoody
The new-build Holiday Inn & Suites Atlanta Perimeter-Dunwoody, owned by Atlanta Hospitality Investment LLC and operated by YM Hospitality, has opened in Chamblee, GA.

The 143-key property offers IHG Studio in each room, allowing guests to stream their favorite shows from their personal devices on the flat-screen TV, as well as amenities including a heated indoor pool, a fitness center, Spice & Sky rooftop bar and restaurant and a 4,500-sq.-ft. event space.

ROOST Cleveland
ROOST Apartment Hotel, the extended-stay concept from Method Co., has opened ROOST Cleveland at the May Company building on historic Euclid Ave. in downtown. The opening marks the first location outside of Philadelphia for the ROOST brand and the first high-design extended-stay hotel concept for the city of Cleveland, according to the company.

The newest ROOST offers 62 loft-like apartments within three floors of the May Company building, an adaptive restoration of the iconic department store built by architect Daniel Burnham.

Designed and curated by Morris Adjmi Architects and Method Studios, Method Co.’s in-house design firm, all of the ROOST Cleveland apartments offer contemporary furnishings such as vintage Oushak rugs, functional custom workspaces, artwork from Lumas, coffee tables by Danish design house Gubi and modern light fixtures by Original BTC. Amenities include the brand’s signature in-room artisanal coffee program with La Colombe, a high-end cocktail kit and signature bike share program, as well as a three-story open-air atrium, rooftop terrace with gas grills and city views, a fitness center, private yoga studio and a makerspace.

Acquired by Bedrock in 2017, the May Company building has anchored Cleveland’s Public Square for more than 100 years, when the department store opened in its namesake building in 1915 and where it operated until 1993. It remained primarily vacant until Bedrock commenced an extensive transformation of the property, seeking to restore its most definitive features such as the iconic pediment clock and terra cotta facade.
