A Look at Recent Management Deals

NATIONAL REPORT — Four hospitality management companies have recently added properties to their portfolios.

Dohohoe Adds Courtyard in Chevy Chase, MD
Donohoe Hospitality Services, a division of Donohoe, has added the Courtyard by Marriott Bethesda Chevy Chase in Maryland to its growing portfolio. The 226-guestroom hotel is located near the National Institutes Health, American University and downtown Bethesda.

As 2021 gets underway, Donohoe Hospitality Services is poised for additional expansion with several more hotels expected to come online in the coming months. During the past year Donohoe Hospitality Services has increased its portfolio by 52% and added an additional 981 guestrooms, including the newly built Canopy by Hilton Baltimore Harbor Point.

The Courtyard Bethesda Chevy Chase features four meeting rooms and outdoor terraces that comprise more than 3,072 sq. ft. of meeting space that can accommodate up to 120 guests, and Trattoria 5520 restaurant.

Aimbridge Assumes Management of Phoenix Resort
Aimbridge Hospitality has been awarded management of the 584-room Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix. Boxer Resorts, a company of Boxer Property Management Corporation, will continue to asset manage the property.

Surrounded by mountain views, the property’s Water Falls Village boasts two pools, waterfalls, a water slide and private cabanas. Additionally, the resort includes another six swimming pools throughout the grounds. It also has a golf course, spa, five F&B establishments and 39,018 sq. ft. of meeting and event space.

Hotel Equities Opens Home2 Suites in Richmond, VA
Hotel Equities (HE) has opened the Home2 Suites by Hilton-Richmond in Richmond, VA. The 100-room all-suite Hilton hotel is owned and developed by The Witness Group. Hotel Equities manages the hotel via its Midwest regional office located in Ohio. The new hotel is one of nine Home2 Suites by Hilton-branded properties to join HE’s portfolio.

The hotel offers all-suite accommodations with fully equipped kitchens and flexible furniture options, as well as complimentary internet, communal spaces and trademark Home2 Suites amenities such as Spin2 Cycle Center, Home2 MKT and the Inspired Table complimentary breakfast. Also on site are an indoor saline pool and outdoor grills.

Concord Hospitality to Develop and Manage Florida AC Hotel
Concord Hospitality has been selected to provide development and management services for the new, eight-story, 172-room AC Hotel that will be an integral component of the new Ascent St. Petersburg, a mixed-use residential and hotel project planned in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. The project—being developed in partnership between Greystar Real Estate Partners and an affiliate of Concord—is scheduled to break ground in early 2021 with an expected opening of the hotel by Q4 2022, followed by the residential ready for move-in by Q1 2023.

The AC Hotel and residential component consisting of 357 rental units will share a sixth-floor amenity level that will include an indoor/outdoor deck and pool. The AC Hotel amenities include a meeting area, fitness center and rooftop bar.
