A full-circle partnership

Sometimes, it just clicks. It was meant to be. All good things come in time. It all comes full circle. Four common expressions. But four that express how I feel about our latest partnership.

In case you missed it, I’ll repeat it here: Hotel Business is excited to announce an agreement with Glenn Haussman, a hospitality industry commentator, consultant and podcaster. I’m sure you already know him and his work, but just in case you don’t, make sure to check out his site, novacancynews.com.

Glenn and I had been chatting about doing something together for quite a while, and now we’ve made it happen. We’re leveraging our two leadership positions as hospitality media brands to collaborate on a series. Glenn is joining the Hotel Business Hot Topics platform and our roster of panel moderators, lending his talent and insight to our signature events.

Hot Topics delivers industry expertise and thought leadership on must-know issues affecting hoteliers to registered attendees via a virtual platform. Top executives share best practices, experience and analysis on the most essential hotel industry topics. You can check out some past sessions on hotelbusiness.com.

Our industry respects, admires—and likes—Glenn. And we do, too. In 2022, he was recognized as one of the top 100 Most Powerful People in Global Hospitality and the #1 Global Social Media Influencer in Hospitality. His podcast No Vacancy Live is the #1 podcast in hospitality. Additionally, in May 2022 he received the Leadership Excellence Award from SKAL USA for his work bringing the hotel industry together during the COVID crisis, while the podcast won a Davey Award.

Glenn is also a frequent keynote speaker, event host and moderator, and custom content creator. And he also taps into his fun—and funny—side hosting Friday Night Audit, a comedy-based show capturing the energy of the post-conference social scene.

His knowledge of and passion for the hospitality industry—and his dynamic personality—will bring energy and interest to these important hour-long Hot Topics discussions. Moreover, this partnership provides Hotel Business with the opportunity to broaden our content to deliver to readers what they want and need to succeed in their businesses, and takes our already-successful Hot Topics platform and expands its reach so the valuable insights shared in each session can be, in turn, shared with a broader audience of hoteliers.

So about it all coming full circle: Glenn started his hospitality industry journalism career with Hotel Business back in 1996, and according to him, “Having the opportunity to create this exciting partnership with the organization that got me started is such a fulfilling moment for me personally. I can’t wait to help create, facilitate and promote Hot Topics sessions. Working with Hotel Business allows me to do what I love most, helping extend my No Vacancy branding while sharing amazing hospitality stories highlighting some of the most engaging professionals in our beloved business.”

Hotel Business and No Vacancy will cross-promote each other on these collaborations.
