Four Management Deals to Know

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business is tracking management deals. Coast Hotels, Dream Hotel Group, Coakley & Williams and Driftwood Hospitality Management have added properties to their portfolios. Here are the details:

Coast Hotels Assumes Management of West Beach Inn
Coast Hotels has a new agreement with West Beach Inn. Opened in 1958, West Beach Inn features 41 rooms and five suites with a host of amenities, including air conditioning, complimentary parking, an outdoor pool, flat panel TVs, Turkish cotton bathrobes, pillow-top mattresses and pillows, and a nightly turndown with chocolates. The hotel recently had all of its guestrooms refreshed in 2018.

Dream Hotel Group Assumes Management of Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa
Dream Hotel Group has assumed management of the Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa in Palm Beach, FL. The 134-room boutique hotel sits on one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa features a private white-sand beach with Atlantic Ocean views; an outdoor heated pool, whirlpool and poolside bar; two on-site restaurants; a beachfront cocktail lounge; 7,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meetings and event space, including an oceanfront ballroom; and a 6,000-sq.ft. full-service spa with seven treatment rooms.

Coakley & Williams Assumes Management of the Pikesville DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Conference Center
Coakley & Williams Hotel Management Company has expanded its portfolio of managed hotels with the addition of the 171-room, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in Pikesville, MD. The DoubleTree’s owner is Blue Ocean, a property management company in Baltimore, MD, that is active in syndicating, purchasing and managing investment grade real estate assets in the multifamily, office, retail and industrial sectors. This is Blue Ocean’s first hotel venture. In addition to the hotel, the 10-acre site also includes a 50,000-sq.-ft. indoor tennis and fitness facility, as well as 32,000 sq. ft. of office and retail buildings.

Driftwood Hospitality Management Expands Portfolio
Driftwood Hospitality Management has purchased the 480-room Hilton Houston North and 390-room Marriott Houston North. All rooms and public space will be renovated at the Hilton; the atrium lobby, F&B and arrival areas will be reimagined. The Marriott Houston North will go through a complete renovation as well. Both properties will be taking on these renovations under the management of DHM.
